Reward of Paradise, Divine Pleasure, Nearness, and Seeing Allah SWT
Bagikan

Berbah, Sleman – In observance of the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H, the Executive Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (MWC NU) in Kapanewon Berbah once again held its regular religious study session. The event was led directly by the Rais Syuriah of MWC NU Berbah and took place at Majelis Ya Badi’, located in Cangakan Village, Baran, Kalitirto, Berbah, Sleman, DIY.

This gathering is part of the ongoing series “Tafsir Study of the 7 Ha Mim Surahs,” with a focus on Surah Ghafir (40): Verses 16-21.

Every Soul Will Receive Its Due Reward

In this study, one of the verses discussed was Surah Ghafir (40): Verse 17:

“On this Day, every soul will be rewarded for what it has earned. No injustice will there be this Day. Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning.”

Imam Al-Qusyairi provides a profound explanation regarding the rewards that Allah grants to humans according to their deeds and states:

“Allah will reward them for their actions with Paradise, for their conditions with His pleasure, for their breaths (of devotion) with closeness to Him, and for their love with the vision of His Face.”

This verse illustrates how divine justice will be upheld on the Day of Judgment. There will be no injustice, as every individual will receive recompense proportionate to their efforts. Those who believe and perform righteous deeds will be rewarded with Paradise, divine satisfaction, nearness to Allah, and the opportunity to behold Him in the Hereafter.

Forgiveness and Light for the Repentant

Moreover, Imam Al-Qusyairi emphasizes that sinners are not left without hope. If they sincerely repent, Allah will bestow upon them an extraordinary reward:

“And He will reward the sinners for their repentance with forgiveness, and for their tears with light and healing.”

This meaning conveys that Allah’s mercy is always open to anyone who seeks to return to Him. A servant’s tears of sincere regret will not go to waste; rather, they become a pathway to spiritual light and healing.

Conclusion and Reflection from the Study

The session served as a reminder that both divine justice and mercy apply to all of Allah’s servants. Those who do good will receive immense rewards, while those who have sinned still have the chance to attain forgiveness and guidance if they genuinely repent with sincerity.

One participant shared that this study deepened their conviction about the importance of improving one’s deeds and striving to draw closer to Allah.

“From this study, we learn that every action will be met with its due reward. We must strive to increase our good deeds because, in the Hereafter, nothing can help us except our own actions,” remarked one attendee.

Through these gatherings, MWC NU Berbah hopes to inspire the community to better understand the essence of true faith and prepare themselves with the best deeds for the afterlife.
